We offer a variety of clubs, organizations, and leadership opportunities, including leadership in our Household system, service clubs, and academic honor societies.

What sports does Shaw offer?

Our athletic program includes football, basketball, baseball, soccer, wrestling, cross-country, track and field, lacrosse, and more.

What are the school hours?

The school day begins at 8:15am and concludes at 3:15pm. Campus opens at 7:20am and after-school supervision is available until 5pm.

Is breakfast and lunch provided on campus?

Breakfast and lunch are provided for free through the Archdiocese of New Orleans’ School Food and Nutrition Services and students may also bring their own lunch.

Does Shaw provide bus transportation?

Bus transportation is provided to residents of Jefferson Parish and may vary by area. Please contact the front office for more details.

What religious opportunities are available?

As a Catholic Salesian school, pray is woven into daily life at Shaw. We also offer daily celebrations of Holy Mass, bi-monthly school-wide Holy Mass, grade level retreats, and service opportunities to help students grow in faith.

Are students required to complete service hours?

Yes, students are required to complete a certain number of service hours depending on their grade level. Please see the Student Handbook for more information. Students log all of their service hours through the MobileServe platform. Please note that work study hours are logged directly with the Work Study Coordinator .

What opportunities are available to visit the campus?

We host a number of Admissions events to welcome prospective students and their families to our campus. Visit our events page for more information or contact the Office of Admissions to schedule a private tour.
