Four outstanding students at Archbishop Shaw were recognized as this year’s recipients of the Servant’s Heart Scholarship after Holy Mass on Friday, April 4, 2025 in the Shaw Gym.
The Scholarship, which awards $1,000 to one student from each House, honors the legacies of four remarkable Catholic figures: Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, St. Dominic Savio, Blessed Carlo Acutis, and St. Francis de Sales. Each scholarship recipient was selected by their respective House prefect for embodying the spirit and values of their House.
A Legacy of Faith and Service
The Servant’s Heart Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of four distinguished alumni: Kenneth Ortolano (’74), Gary Laigast (’67), Devin and Larry Cook (’02/’74), and Donald Frank (’76). These individuals left lasting impacts on the school community, and these scholarship recipients continue their legacy of service and dedication. Family of these beloved alumni were present to award the recipients.
