In June 2024, a group of 14 departed New Orleans for a visit to Greece; visiting Athens, Crete and Santorini.

Rising seniors Lawrence M. and Christian W., along with his parents Shelia and Keith and sister Shelby joined Archbishop Shaw guidance director Cheryl Reine accompanied by husband Jeff, alumnus Danny Clavier, class of 1980, accompanied by wife Pam and sister Robin, and Academy of Our Lady freshman Carlie V. who brought along her mom Kristen and grandparents Carol and Dennis Woltering.

Walking in the footsteps of democracy, marveling at the various shades of blue or swimming in the waters of Perissa beach, a magical time was had by all.

Archbishop Shaw was pleased to partner with EF Tours, an educational tour provider committed to bringing students to places they might otherwise never get to experience. Students from Shaw previously collaborated with EF Tours on a trip to Japan.
