On November 9 a group of thirty 9-12 grade students took a field trip to LSU in Baton Rouge to tour the School of Engineering. The tour began in Patrick F. Taylor Hall, which has just finished a $110 million renovation. Students received information about the many engineering majors offered at LSU.
After the presentation students were led on a tour of the 436,691 square foot building where they saw classroom space, many different labs, a multitude of open community collaboration spaces, and even met some recent Shaw graduates who are current students at LSU.
After touring Patrick F. Taylor hall the students took a short tour around campus through the Quad and past Tiger Stadium. The tour finished with lunch in the Student Union. It was another successful college visit day helping to prepare our students for college and beyond.
