Archbishop Shaw has become one of the first digital high schools, most notably with the one to one Student-Chromebook ratio. We have built our academics around a college experience in which many books and classwork will be done online. This step, along with the great education provided by our faculty, has helped to increase our average ACT scores.
MathXL is one of those tools that students will experience in college and will further assist them as they study here at Shaw. The students receive regular instruction in the classroom and are given assignments on MathXL. Here the program assists the students by, referring them to the sections in the text, practice/example problems, and instant feedback. This instant feedback is also useful for the teacher as they can then help each student if they have any difficulty with certain topics.
