Archbishop Shaw is proud to offer scholarship awards to students who demonstrate their potential and willingness to work towards a brighter future. In addition, we are constantly working to expand the number of awards we give out each year.

Shaw Award Offerings

Legacy Award

The Legacy Award recognizes men who stand on the shoulders of those who came before them. This award encourages our alumni to build a legacy of Archbishop Shaw excellence.

This award is available to any student whose father, grandfather, or brother graduated from Archbishop Shaw.

Renewable each year on a pro-rated basis so long as the student completes the TADS application each year of enrollment.

Elizabeth “Betty” Jenniskers Connick Award

This award is available to any student whose parents are Catholic educators.

Renewable each year on a pro-rated basis so long as the student completes the TADS application each year of enrollment.

Academic Scholarships

Our academic scholarships are awarded to students and are renewable each year on a pro-rated basis based on the criteria below:

  • At least a B average in major subjects for the previous two years
  • Qualifying scores on the Archbishop Shaw Placement Test
  • Maintains a weighted semester Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 (3.0 for 8th grade)
  • Avoids disciplinary probation or other serious disciplinary sanction
  • Register within two weeks of Registration Day (For 2024-25: March 22, 2024)

Don Bosco Merit Award

Scored a 90% or higher on the Placement Test.

Dominic Savio Merit Award

Scored an 80% or higher on the Placement Test.

Perrin Rittiner, Sr. Merit Award

Scored an 80% or higher on the Placement Test.

 


 

Scholarship Offerings

The Archbishop Shaw community is proud to offer scholarships to young men of exceptional character, work-ethic, and achievement. Families who wish to express their interest in applying for these offerings should complete the Scholarship Interest Form located in their AP Online Forms portal.

Note: parents/guardians of current students should sign in to AP Online Forms using the email address and password created for PlusPortals. New students will receive more login information during registration. If you are having difficulty accessing the AP Online Forms portal, you may print the PDF form here and submit in person to the Front Office (M-F 8a-3p). 

Currault Family Scholarship

  • $7,000 award
  • Renewable each year on a pro-rated basis as long as the student abides by the following criteria:
    • Student must possess extraordinary skills in Mathematics and have high Standardized Test scores from prior school.
    • Must maintain a 2.0 GPA, avoid probation, and/or other disciplinary sanctions.

 

Goodwin Family Scholarship

  • $2000 award
  • Renewable each year on a pro-rated basis as long as the student abides by the following criteria:
    • Student must demonstrate financial need.
    • Must maintain a 2.0 GPA, avoid probation, and/or other disciplinary sanctions.

 

Dr. Gerald DeLuca Memorial Scholarship

  • Award varies
  • Renewable each year on a pro-rated basis as long as the student abides by the following criteria:
    • Student must possess extraordinary skills in Mathematics and Science and have high Standardized Test scores from prior school.
    • Must maintain a 2.0 GPA, avoid probation, and/or other disciplinary sanctions.

Music Scholarship

  • $1000 award
  • Renewable each year on a pro-rated basis as long as the student abides by the following criteria:
    • Student must participate in both marching and concert bands
    • Must maintain a 2.0 GPA, avoid probation, and/or other disciplinary sanctions.
    • Students must schedule an audition with Mr. Cameron Mayfield, Director of Bands, no later than March 8th, 2024.

Supporting Documents
The following supporting documentation must be submitted to TADS via the online application, mail, or fax:

  • Household members’ most recently completed federal tax forms (personal and businesses owned)
  • W-2’s from each job held by household members
  • Most recent pay stub from each job held by household members
  • Documents that establish the amount of miscellaneous monthly or yearly income you currently receive (i.e., welfare, food stamps, unemployment, workers’ compensation, etc.,)
  • All corporate, partnership, and trust forms if a household member owns 20% or more interest in a corporation, partnership or trust
