Welcome to Archbishop Shaw High School and thank you for visiting our website.
The mission of Archbishop Shaw High School is to provide a program of study that furthers the college preparatory education of its students. This is done in a manner consistent with the doctrines of Catholic education and in the context of the Salesian philosophy of education: Reason, Religion, and Kindness.
We are committed to developing our young men in mind, body, and spirit.
In order to develop the mind, we offer a rigorous and innovative college preparatory curriculum which will prepare our students for the jobs of the 21st century. The curriculum includes multiple opportunities for students to solve problems, to develop a solid work ethic, to become technology literate, and to recognize the value of continual learning.
It is also important that our young men present themselves in a professional and collegial manner. Great care is taken at Archbishop Shaw in guiding our students to embrace a love of academics and social responsibility. We encourage all of our students to become involved in extra-curricular activities. By fully participating in both academic and extra-curricular activities, we hope to produce a well-rounded, socially responsible, and healthier student.
Our first priority, however, is to strengthen our student’s relationship with God through the Salesian philosophy of St. John Bosco. The faculty, staff and administration whole heartily support and implement Don Bosco’s Preventive System of education. The Salesian values of reason, religion, and loving kindness are taught and nurtured on a daily basis. Anyone who visits our campus will notice the active presence of our faculty, administration, and staff as they interact with our students. We do not just talk about being a family; we live it on a daily basis through our actions. We also provide ample opportunities for our students to actively participate in the sacramental life of the church.
We invite you to visit Archbishop Shaw High School; you will arrive as our guest and leave as a part of our family. Come and SOAR WITH THE EAGLES!
