2018 Strenna

“Sir, Give me this water” – Let us cultivate the art of listening and of accompaniment

At the beginning of each year, the Rector Major (the head of the Salesian Family) gives a new strenna to be a guide to live our Christian lives in the charism of St. John Bosco. “Strenna” is an Italian word which means gift, a small and cherished gift which was used by Don Bosco to help direct and teach those in Salesian Parishes, Schools, and Playgrounds. We continue this tradition and so receive this year’s Strenna from the Rector Major and reflect on a way by which we can implement it in our daily lives.
