MISSION STATEMENT

| The general objective of the SGO is to provide
a democratic forum in which students can
address those school related issues which affect
their lives. The SGO works to understand the
attitudes, beliefs, and aspirations of the
students and to develop an ability to present
student perspectives in appropriate ways. |

| The following are special responsibilities of the SGO: |
| |
- To promote by way of example the ideals and values of Archbishop
Shaw High School.
To establish and maintain a system of communication among students,
faculty, and administration.
To foster school spirit, coordinate school activities and promote
educational, social, and community involvement.
To encourage student interest and participation in activities and
functions by earning the respect and confidence of the student body
through accurate representation.
To establish membership and when possible to actively participate in
student council organization on the broader level.
To establish communication with the student council of Academy of
Our Lady High School. |
